Reflections on Nokia Friend View
Written by James Reilly, Friend View Project Manager
Since the Friend View service was shut down in September, we’ve received a number of questions from avid users and onlookers who wanted to hear a bit more about what came out of this research project. To give back to those that contributed, we did our best to gather some high-level observations and learnings that we could share with you here.
Friend View project completed
Hello,
Important note to Friend Viewers: Nokia Friend View is an experimental research project from Nokia Research Center. The Friend View project is now completed and is being moved to the Beta Labs Archived section and will later be discontinued.

A touch version of Friend View is now available for S60 5th Edition phones. It has been tested on the Nokia 5800 and N97. We hope Touch users will like it. If an S60 3rd edition Friend View client is already installed on your touch device, you should first uninstall that and then install the touch version.
You can download it from here: http://friendview.nokia.com
Best wishes,

Hi again!
Before getting to the fun part, we really want to thank you all who have tried Friend View and have given us feedback: Thanks! Kiitos! Gracias! etc. :)
It has been very encouraging to see the growing number of Friend Viewers and to hear what is it that you like and also what you don't like, what you would like to have and why do you use it or not. And we are doing our best to please you as much as we can!
