Curious, what problems are Google Apps users seeing? I have been able to use Nokia Email with my gApps account for the past two releases, although it did take a bit of fiddling at first.
The one thing I would most like to see for Gmail-style accounts is the ability to archive. I guess this could be handled with the addition of folders and moving a message to a folder. If so, a hotkey for a default IMAP folder would be stellar.
Keep up the great work, I am loving this app whenever I am on the go.
One interesting question i have is: what port does Nokia email use? i have a WAP only service and this blocks all ports other than port 80.
thankfully my office email [exchange] uses port 80 and i am happy with MFE.
Can i use nokia email on my existing connection?
I've recently observed occasions where emails sit in outbox for no apparent reason. They are small without attachment and with full 3G connectivity.
A manual sync or go offline/online always solves the problem. This on a e71.
Kudos to the Nokia Email Client and Beta Labs! The email client is just fantastic, far richer experience than the built in S60 email client.
My only wish is to have the email messages linked in a way that you have the option of when deleting a message, it would delete it from the email server too, as currently it does not do this.
Also RTF would be nice as my signature is in that format, but otherwise, fantastic, don't stop!
I am loving Nokia email beta. But i feel following need to improved further.
1)Real time push which i find emoze client is real time fast compared to Nokia email, this should improve.
2)Nokia email should integrate in to native email clients menu and it should separate solution.
3)for every new message composed there should be a facility to send a copy to myself as in the native mail client.
Thanks to dev team
thanks for this great application which I start to use since last week with my gmail account.
I have following problem:
My sent folder is synchronized with gmail account. All emails I sent from mobile are also seen in gmail website access. But these emails are not downloaded to my pc via pop3 access. Even if i send email from mobile and i put myself as cc - it does not download via pop3!
I checked all my settings on gmail. All seems to be fine.
Usually when i sent any emails via emoze or via mobile gmail application or from gmail site it self - these sent emails are downloading to my pc via pop3. Why it is not working with nokia mobile email?
I would really appreciate your help and many thanks for your great work!
I am unable to connect to the e-mail set up,
i keep getting a message that
"Unable to connect using the information provided" please try again
Any help ?
Rakesh
Hi, I am using a Nokia E71 with the MS Exchange Client loaded. All works well apart from the fact that I can't link to sub folders only my inbox. Is it possible to link to sub folders if not does Nokia have any plans to build it in a future release ?.
Great News! Um id like to add there is no predictive text support while typing in an email address(to recipient) when composing an email.
Hi and thanks for your great work on this app, guys.
I had one question: I'm currently using MFE on my E71 and have tried RoadSync, but haven't quite been sold on any particular email app yet. I am excited to try Nokia Email as soon as it has full support for Google Apps (I support both Exchange and Google Apps), but I'm a bit concerned about what kind of battery life hit I may see as compared to Exchange Active-Sync based services. My heartbeat to my exchange server hovers around 29 minutes, which in practice nets me really great battery life (and of course push service). Does Nokia Email use a similar technology?
Thanks!
cant log in to my account at email.nokia.com.
Have been trying for the past five days. HELP!!
I submitted the configuration settings (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s .aspx?sm=aieZUv0yLTsFlG54clkfO Q_3d_3d)that work with the built-in S60 email client. So hopefully you can add those settings to your system and I'll be up and running with my register.com domain email address in Nokia Email.
Thanks!
I am unable to copy paste the content from email content. can some one explain me how to do it. In the Inbox when i go to "select text" then i see left menu "copy" but nothing happens. I want to select particular text and copy to clipboard and send it as a text message. I need help. I am using N82
Nokia eMail still doesn't work for my eMail address, hosted together with my own domain at a small webspace provider. Nokia eMail remains saying, that it could not establish a connection with the given credentials.
When I log into email.nokia.com and go to "Set up a personal email address" it says "Unable to connect to the server. Please try again later." after submitting eMail address, password and name.
when is html support coming?
@Mohan comment #5
It's fairly simple to do, but complicated on what options and choice of methods to use. I had to do a little trial and error to understand the functions of chosen feature.
To answer you before question ill start from the top.
When entering ur inbox an choosing the selected email, ur shown the whole layout of the email, while certain elements are highlighted(or linked). Pressing right and left will tab you between the highlighted text, once choosing selected highlighted text, enter options and select "copy to clipboard" now you can post it anywhere.
Now to answer your question(specific). Still on the open email, click options and choose "select text", screen will change and your email will seem like its on a word or note or whatever document(no highlighted text). Now here you have the choice to choose the text u want. Hold down the "pencil key" or was it the hash key for newer devices(i dont remember for the N82) while holding the key, scroll over the text of choice, it will be highlighted, then press "copy" the soft key, and wallla ull have ur copyed text to be pasted anywhere.
I have a Nokia E90. I have used Windows Live Messenger (Hotmail) for 6 months, no problems. This weekend I updated my Nokia E90 software. After restoring my data everything EXCEPT Windows Live works! Theb only solution I could think of was to setup Windows Live again. Major problem. Going to "download", "internet" "Messenger" - Messenger appears and I can even read the contents. I refreshed the list BUT am unable to open the application. Red Exclamation mark pops up. Question> What do I do. Nokia USA crew singularly unhelpful and had no knowledge to offer at all, twice told me to talk to MSN. I use Hotmail hourly, now my phone is basically useless.
Guys, I am not AT all techi. Contemplating to buy E71 instead of BB. Can anyone in simple terms explain following:
1. Can I keep getting my email from www.ids.ae via microsoft outlook?
2. Is is "push mail" like BB
3. Can I surf internet just as we do it from laptop at places like malls, airports etc
4. What E71 can not do that BB does
5. To use Nokia Email service, do I have to go to my local mobile operator - Etisalat
Thank you so much in advance for your help
Having set up my Outlook account to read on my N95 it all works fine. Messages are seen as new/unread on the phone BUT all messages in Outlook on my laptop are shown as "read". Consequently in outlook "new/unread" messages aren't highlighted as such. It seems by directing my mail to the nokia email server it somehow marks them as read on my mail server.
Will the next release solve this?
Ken
This is Jeremy Yon once again. I would greatly appreciate it if ANYONE could send the response to my email. It is jyon1911@gmai.com.
I will be waiting for responses :). Be a good citizen and hit me back :).
Thanks in advance you guys.

Hello, this is Jeremy Yon and I
You service sucks. You call this push email. Nokia you're a bunch of idiots for dropping BB connect. And who doesn't offer html. In your attempt at reinventing the wheel try finding the wheel first. Pathetic service.
I use the e71..i am unable to create the mailbox... network is airtel in india.. Can somebody help pl ?
Is this thing work at all, IN australia Nokia is not able to send any Install files on any other mobile no?
I am trying with 3 different mobiles with different providers i get same error message on all of them " we had problem sending you, check you no""
Strange....
Are there any plans to introduce a corporate version (i.e. Exchange Server) as this seems to be everything MFE is missing - especially folder support (including sent etc.). Also, does Nokia plan to improve the in built calendar so I can see invitees, forward a meeting invite and be able to set up a meeting? These are the functions which prevent my E71 from being the perfect device.
I no longer see any notification on the home screen of my E71 when I receive an email via Nokia email, although I still get the audible notification. I have uninstalled and waited 24 hours and reinstalled (although didn't delete my nokia email account), but it made no difference. It may have disappeared when I changed the home screen applications list, but changing it back to how it was has made no difference.

I wanto to know but there it is a problem for the program the site http://email.nokia.com/ is darkened and enters not more? And 'compatible with the nokia E90? thanks and sorry for my english.
David from Milan
Loving the program guys. Thanks!
Using it with Gmail has been easy and I haven't had any issues at all with the latest version (earlier versions would occasionally stop syncing and would require me to reinstall).
I'd like to add my work address as an additional inbox though. Does Nokia Email support domains from register.com?
Can't wait for HTML support and google apps!
Thanks again!
I am now getting occurences of mail not sent or not retrieved and that's disappointing. It's nice if mail are delivered immediately but it's rubbish if some are missed and you find yourself checking your webmail to make sure :-/
Yo still loving it, but one thing is missing. Where contact data is choosin from. For example using the msn messenger application ports all my hotmail contacts to my device under a single contact tab, and to mention other various nokia application are using the same method BUT the email service apps only reads my regular contacts list. Maybe but not sure because im not using them now, was i remember gizmo & nokia chat used the same contact tab system, i would not know how the email app acts with them, just taught to mention it to ya guys.
Thank you for this blog.
Now I understand why my E71 didn't sync anymore (there was a big e-mail).
Keep on doing the great work.

Hi Davis,
I appreciate your efforts and open minded to our comments.
Here is a list issues and suggestions I gathered while using the Nokia Email in the last months:
-Auto send copy to myself.
-Shorter sync intervals
-Immediate send.
-Sort emails by received date and not by sent date
-Option to clear deleted folder.
-Slow response of program on E71.
-Show last sync results and time in main screen.
-Option for 1 line only in home screen.
-Round hour intervals.
-Html in email.
-Show time of email column in Inbox
-Access point groups.
-Warning before downloading attachments larger then 100k
-Option to receive outlook meeting invitation
Thanks again
I. Kvoras
Any way of deleting emails from ONLY the phone and NOT the server as well?
I can't get NES to sync my emails (Gmail accounts). It sends emails but just does not download any emails.
I have sent feedback regarding the same and also posted an entry regarding the same on my blog. Any idea what the problem is?
Hi, All works well on my Tablet PC. Thanks for improving your software!
Rakesh.
I had same issue. The only way I could resolve it was to remove the email app, resend it from Nokia and reinstall.
Ben.
i have new E71 and set up nokia email. i can send emails but it will not receive or sync with desktop. my email is Virgin.net pop3. any ideas?
