Enter Nokia PC Phone survey and win an Amazon gift card

pcphone_survey.PNG

The Nokia PC Phone team just created a survey for you:

Please participate in our survey and you have a really good chance to be in a big role when improving this service even better. This will only take about 10-15 minutes of your precious time.

Among all the participants we will draw five (5) gift cards to amazon.com web store (EUR 50 or USD 75 based on your country of residence)

Survey is valid from Feb 5th to Feb 18th 2008.

Download Nokia PC Phone

Enter Nokia PC Phone survey (please do)

Ps. do you like Amazon gift cards as an incentive? We are currently thinking what could be best incentives for you to give us feedback. Due to legal reasons, however, the monetary value needs to be nominal.

Comments

Marvellous - NOT!
I STILL can't use PC Phone because it's not yet provided for 64-bit XP, and now I'm missing out on the chance to win a gift as well!
Not even a date yet as to WHEN XP x64 support will be offered.
NOT HAPPY!

Survey was ok :)

As for Prizes. Amazon is good I like Amazon. :)

You could also give "Nokia Vouchers" (or "Tommi Tokens" has a nice ring don't ya think? :D) for accessories, music or games (when ever it's launched!!) sites compatible with the winners Mobile.

What do the rest of you's think??

Just took the survey and believe it or not they ask a question about OS and web browser and the only options they thought of giving were 1) Vista or 2)XP,
then for a browser we get 1)Explorer or 2) Firefox
Is it just me taking the survey on my Mac??!!
Come on Nokia , do you have a stake in MS or what?
Mac and Nokia are natural partners for innovation in my opinion...get your teams to recognise the Mac!

Well, the system requirements are Windows + Explorer or Firefox. Why the heck are you taking the survey on Mac, if you are not able to even try the app?

Ps. no need to tell me how important Mac support is becoming, I'm writing this on a Mac myself...

Who cares about your survey and who cares about Beta Labs... Could you please just add my name to your draw ;-)
on a different note, thanks for the feedback about your readers. it's interesting to see that your UK+Italy readers are twice as many as the US readers...
Regarding feedback, why don't you monitor users behaviour (clearly asking permission first) like you would monitor the most downloaded app...

I am in the view of most here.

We cant expect everyone to use this tool when the survey itself not covering everyone's need. Only targeting a portion of the actual user base what a waste of an effort.

I think the survey should have been more aimed at getting a feel of user base then working out a plan to provide a solution to this wider user base.

As for the solution itself its very very hard to get thing right across all platforms and browsers for the obvious reasons. I don't know what everyone thinks about Adobe AIR (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/air/) this should allow programming of import and export of content to/from the phone across several operating systems and browser independent. It also has a very rich user interface.

Also how about providing a screen for the calendar? lets make life easier for everyone, at the moment if I want to sync the todo/calendar I'd have to sync with outlook. I want all that in one place.

As for the prize you guys are using everyone's brain here to build your next best product, you should really reward the people just like you'd reward the sale person of the month with a fat bonus. Perhaps not a huge sums but how about some latest Nokia handset? When you think about it is not much compared world Nokia operates.

I wonder what everyone's view on this, especially the prize!

Regards,

Azizur Rahman

I would take part in the survey, but I can't use the product, as I don't have a PC running Windows.

Instead of waiting for Nokia PC Phone, I have been able to applications for a long time to make my phone dial a number for me - google for gnokii and wammu. I can use other applications to replicate the features of PC Suite.

The only things I can't do is firmware upgrades and download full maps to my handset - allowing this over the air would solve these problems.

My current handset is a Nokia N95.

Hahaha, Tommi Tokens ftw! But yes, taking it after a couple tries with it on my bootcamp partition.

Amazon vouchers are good. But I once won a USD voucher from blogs.nokia.com to use at Amazon.com: "Gift certificates may not be redeemed for the purchase of products through in-store pickup, or at Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.ca". A GBP voucher for Amazon.co.uk would have been more useful for me. In fact, I've been able to use the USD because of the higher postage. So please offer a choice for the preferred store (.co.uk, .de, .fr, .com, .co.jp, .ca etc).

PS what spread of countries do us vistors come from?

> what spread of countries do us vistors come from?

UK = 10%, US = 9%, Italy = 8%, Germany = 7%, Norway = 6%, Finland = 5%, India = 4%, ..., Trinidad and Tobago = 0,03%, Uzbekistan = 0,02%.

Personally, I order my amazon purchases from the US store.
