Conversation is back!

conversation.PNG

Last November, we decided to temporarily withdraw the S60 3.1 version (N95 etc.) of the popular Conversation application from Beta Labs, as some people reported SMS sending problems. This issue has now been fixed, and the app is again available for download.

Thanks for your patience!

Note: please don't expect heroic development efforts or productisation for this application. This was a pilot project about a different kind of messaging experience, and as such, I think it has served its purpose really well. Thanks everybody for your feedback!!

Comments

This is a great application (the best sms application that I have found), I use it in work and in home. I really hope that this is included as standard application in all Nokia phones.

Well, in any case, at least a minor version number change could have been included, I mean, I still had the previous release installed, and it just asked me if I want to replace 1.00(0) with 1.00(0) :/

Thanks for fixing the problem! A great app, that imo should be integrated to with S60. Well, anyway, I hope you

Please add Russian support to your great application.!!!
Thank you for your work!

Just wanted to give a heads up here. Using the provided link, the download page still does not list the N95 (any of the three models) as compatible. Just installed fine on my N95-2, I'll put it through the paces for a few days. I'm guessing that page just needed to be updated, but time will tell.

Thanks for the update, I've been waiting for this.

All I really want is the DATE AND TIME in the standard messaging. It is unbelievable that a N95 in this age does not show the date and time of a message (without having to go into menus and viewing details).

As far as this app, I think it is good but I wish the interface were different. There is so much wasted space on the screen, only showing 3 messages at a time. I think a smaller font, showing full messages without scrolling (multi-lines), with a small date/time stamp would be good. Yes, I love the date & time but it really does not need to be as big as the message itself. Show incoming and outgoing messages in a different color or different background color. Smooth scrolling up and down like Channels or a web browser. This is all I ask. :-P

Thanks.

After running this for about 5 mins on an e90 (firmware 07.40) I get the memory full error for Contacts. I have about 500 contacts most with address and email details too.
Cheers

on the n95 8gb, for it to work, you need to install Nokia_Internet_Services_Support_Package_1.sis

does this app chew alot of memory? i have an N95 conversation runs fine alone, but when running anything else (msn, maps etc) i get a memory full error? i havent seen that error since upgrading to V.20 firmware

Hello, i just installed it on my N95 8gb. The installation was succesful but then when i go in "Applications" and i click on the icone nothing happens.... Is the new upgrade works for n95 8gb?
Thanks

That's really a shame about the no new development efforts for Conversation. It sounds like there's a really good start to this app, and a few big tweaks would make it really great. Is there anyone else that can pick up the ball and run with it?

I just have to jump the bandwagon - please please please don't abandon this application, and add Croatian as well :)
And yes, N95-2 and N82 are not listed as supported devices?

Do it support Chinese Language? Previous version do not support the Chinese Char. Thanks.

I have a problem sending SMS with cyrillic characters in it using Conversation input field.
When I type it it looks perfectly ok, but SMS is received with question marks (????) instead of cyrillic letters.

I can send cyrillic SMS using "Messaging" application without any problem.

Nokia E90, firmware 07.40.1.2

After installing this and trying to send a text message, I got an error, something like "messaging already in use"... it went too fast for me to write it down. It does not happen every time. I have N95-3.

I'm using an N82, after installation nothing seems to happen. The Conversation icons appears in my apps folder, but nothing changes in my contacts menu, no added tabs etc.
Is it compatible with the N82?

Oh, I installed the Internet Services Support Pack and Conversation is working now (:

Great app. Please continue the devlopment or incorporate it in the original firmware.

using on e51- buggy. i have 827 messages in my inbox and 478 in my sent folder, and i dont know if thats why but whenever i open my contacts it crashes back to the "home" screen. also when i try to write a new text message it crashes back to the messaging - new message, inbox, my folders, etc. screen. and when trying to reply to a message in my inbox it crashes back to the inbox. i had this many messages before without this app installed and never had this problem, so i believe its related to the conversation app. it started doing this yesterday, and i deleted some messages and uninstalled and reinstalled the app and fixed the bug. but now its back!

Any chance that you can open source it so other can continue to develop the app?

N75 says "Menu: feature not supported"

Help me!

I installed the Nokia_Internet_Services_Support_Package_1.sis first then compatible sis for my device..
i installed both to my phone memory
Nokia n73 ME
V4.0735.3.2.1
4-9-07

giving me error message after trying to use it.. menu:Feature not supported..

What i have to do?

giving me error message after installing it.... menu:Feature not supported..
i install the Nokia_Internet_Services_Support_Package_1.sis first then compatible sis for my decvice..
i install both to my phone memory
V4.0735.3.0.2
1-9-07

giving me error message menu:feature not supported
my device n73
v4.0735.3.0.2

Well, we can hope that something based on this is cooking in the S60 software. If that happens, no need to have a separate application.

Of course, all of the built-in applications (and why not the whole OS) should be independent installable applications, but now I'm getting carried away..:)

It won't be further developed? Awww, lame...

At least include a polished version with FP2 or S60 5th edition

And, if you *should* happen to develop it a little more... How about some more languages... :-) Like *cough* swedish *cough* maybe?

where is N95 8GB and N82 version ??
can use the N95-1 one?

Agree. Threaded SMS is essential and this should be continued as a standard app.

If you are typing a message and hit the d-pad to go right or left, in arriving back at the conversation, the text you were typing is lost.

Very frustrating!

Please keep developing this app. It's almost there!

Cheers

--mco

How about some more languages? Like russian?

Last time i tried it i had to flash my phone. It would be brilliant if the final version could be included under messaging instead of contacts..

Re: incomplete compatibility lists at Beta Labs.

My fault. We haven't been updating the compatibility lists properly. I guess we need to figure out and implement a dynamic system for keeping the compatibility lists up-to-date. How to keep it simple enough, I'm not sure yet.

Also get the "Feature not supported" error on my N73. Reinstalled the previous version & miraculously the "Change contact icon" feature now works, although "Add thumbnail" in the phone book still gives the dreaded "Memory full" error. Oh well, as long as development of this GREAT app doesn't stop, I can live with it! :)

I appreciate your strong effort to provide us a new release of Conversation, but on my N73 it really takes minutes in order to open contact details and then a list of my Conversations...
I hope that it works better on other Nokia phones. ;-)
Thanks, bye!

it doesn't work on my 5700 XM V03.83.1.

now it works on my 5700!!! great!

The required firmware for E65 should be 2.0633.65.01 not 3.0633.09.04 as listed... right?

This is the very best of the betalabs applications.
Thank you
I can not literaly live without it.
It would be a major mistake to abandon it.

I can't seem to find any improvements, works on my E61 and supports Hebrew as it did in the previous version, but none of the features\fixes suggested by feedback were implemented, no smilies, no integration with the new message dialog, no ability to display entire content of message on the screen (like SMS Chat on the Treo) etc..

I really hope Nokia will continue to develop Conversation, either as a separate product or as a feature in the firmware.

On N95 8GB this kewl program works fine.
Except one important thing: it DOES NOT support unicode message. E.g. if i send via Conversation message in russian, my opponent receive only "?" symbols instead of russian chars (Character encoding -> Full Support is ON, Phone interface in English).

Please fix it ASAP!

UNICODE plz
Russian are waiting
Great app
like iPhone's SMS Chat
So plz fix it

RussianS=)

after installing this on my n95-3 i started having randomly text input problems. It was like it was ignoring key presses every few keys. Only a reboot fixed it. I never had this problem before installing conversation and have not had it since removing the app. (i also posted above about the sms sending problem i had after installing this). Seems the bugs were not completely fixed. Good try though! Don't give up :)

Hi, Been using conversation first release for quite sometime now on my N95 8GB all seem to work fine except from time to time i notice it just ignore some key pressed and the sent message just sit in the outbox.

Just show the new update today, downloaded and installed it. Seems to be working fine but straight away noticed below:

1. When first load messages it always highlight the first message rather than highlight the very last message where it use to.

2. When sending a text it no longer display sending message status (dart icon and sent icon). I prefer the old way better except few bugs.

3. I just wish that when open a message in conversation to read you could just press the center button (navigate buttons) to return back to previous screen rather then pressed 'back'.

Am i doing something wrong. If anyone a solution please email me at khmer_lovers@yahoo.com

By the way, does anyone know what's changed in the new version. i can't see any different at all.

Other comment i like to add would be make the sent and receive icon more noticeable. for example sent = green icon and received = current icon

I think this is a great application and I also hope you can add Unicode support (for sending of messages). When I first installed this application and saw that it could display my non-English SMS' without problem, I had high hopes that it would have full Unicode support. However, I have tried sending numerous messages with non-English text on the first screen after clicking on a specific user, and what actually gets sent is garbled.

The only way around this is to click on a specific message in the "conversation view" which takes you to the messaging app. From there, go to "Reply" and compose your message.

Contrary to what claimed on the description, this app won't work on N95 8GB....

I installed this on my n95 8gb and it appeared to be working fine, except for a few niggles:

- access to conversation threads after power up took an unreasonably long time, even with very few messages.

- it somehow caused my phone to hang for minutes at a time when browsing through my contacts and clicking on a contact.

- I

Just installed this in my n95 8GB software version 15.0.015 with 95 sms inbox messages. For some reason...Conversation only picked up 14 messages from 1 person. Strange. Anybody know why?!? Do I have to wait longer for it to index or something? It's been installed and running for a few hours now.

Thanks,
Ray.

I also made sure that Conversation is set to show all conversations

-ray

Nothing new?

Please add Russian support to your great application.!!!
Yes!!!
Yes!!!
Yes!!!
Yes!!!
Add Russian support!
Thank you

Tried it now on N93
v20.0.058
Installed the internet services file first, then the conversations file.

Just keeps giving "Menu: Feature not supported" message

Please add Russian language support.

> Does this application run on FP2?

Not yet, sorry.

I used to have a LOT of the stuck outbound messages but since I upgraded the firmware on my E90 and re-installed Conversation, things are massively improved.

I've had 1, maybe 2 stuck messages since...in a period of 3 or 4 weeks. Previously I had several each day.

@ Nw. Agreed. For the time being, I've opted to leave 'conversations' out of the my e61i until there's a newer version. I DO LIKE THIS SOFTWARE but would rather not be annoyed by all the additional work one has to do. Such as having to send twice or deleting sent messages from the 'outbox'. I am a heavy texter and build up messages on my phone real quick. Its usually in the 900s before I even realize it, hence the frequency of errors that I get, etc. Thanks for your feedback though.

i tried installing on my n95-3 a couple of times, even with the new firmware (20.xxxxx), but it crashes as soon as i load it, any help?

Does this work with the Nokia N82? Because it is not listed in the compatibility list.

I think this program is amazing, but unfortunately ever since I updated my N95 with the latest firmware (v30) i am unable to open the application! I've uninstalled and reinstalled it...installs fine, but just won't open at all. Anyone else having this problem? (yes, i am installing the correct version of the app) :)

Works great on my 6120! Now, if you could only add unicode support...

Thanks in advance :)

Does this application run on FP2?

Many thanks,
David

I installed the Nokia_Internet_Services_Support_Package_1.sis first and then compatible sis for my device..
I installed both to my phone memory
Nokia n73 ME
V4.0735.3.2.1
4-9-07

When I try to open directly it gives me an error message after trying to use it.. menu:Feature not supported..
But if I start in contact I can open it!
Why?

Firstly, you guys/gals have done a great job bringing this to the S60. But, I feel this should be further developed. Coming form a Palm Centro, I really do miss the treaded sms feature provided by my Palm, and do know that there are some of us out there how refuse to move to S60 purely because of this.
--cheers

E90 - used to get "Text message: already in use" when sending sms, but could get around it by saving to draft, coming back in & sending again from draft folder. But just now even that didn't work - had to try it again about 5 times before it would go. I hope this doesn't get worse - maybe I have to try once for each message in the Conversation area? Or I hope someone figures a way to remove Conversations until it is more stable.

Love this application!
Would be great upon receiving a text and going "View" for it then to launch Conversation.

Add Russain support (unicode) please!

@Leonard - Using an E61, I have the same annoyance using Conversation, but not quite as frequently. I'd say it happens to maybe 10-15% of my outgoing messages.

Hi, I just switched from an iPhone to an E71. Great experience, above all the keyboard (I'm an SMS junkie...). But the Conversation app is just not quite ready for serious use yet. Sluggish, text size is too big, if you get an SMS while it is closed the old SMS app shows up. Look at the iPhone for a better experience (ok, despite of the loophole you've got to type your text to into, but yours is not bigger, eh...?), or even at the five years old Treo 600. Looking at the tremendous feedback you get here I really suggest you put some serious effort into this piece of software. WE WANT MORE.

Just upgraded my phone's firmware for my e61i and thinking abt re-installing 'conversations' again. Had the earlier version installed and it only really had one annoying problem. Really love the program and i'm glad that u decided not to abandon it. Been reading through all the submissions and only really saw 1 entry that was experiencing the same thing as me.

Problem:

90% of the time after composing and sending a message, the sent message stays in the outbox, where infact the message has already been sent to the recipient. The only way of getting rid of it is going to the outbox, and deleting it manually, or else you'll start getting a build-up of 'already sent' messages piling up in the outbox. Is this still happening for some people using an E-series?

Would appreciate your soonest response.

Cheers!

Please make it work for fp2. Also, can we have smaller fonts too so that more can be read from the screen without having to scroll up and down..

@ nw. Have u installed the latest version available now? Do you still get the same thing happening?

@Leonard - yes, latest version. Since it happens relatively infrequently, it doesn't bother me too much. Worse for me if I have a heavy texting few days or lots of msgs built up, I get memory errors (i.e. "messaging already in use", or similar) when trying to open or send msgs, as others have noted here. Fairly infrequent on that too, but it is more of an issue as it actually affects my ability to send or read the messages.

any chance of porting this to the e71? thank you :)

Hello

When will this be compatible with the E71? I like how the Palm works with respect to it's messages and it would be nice if it would also work with the E71.

just loaded Conversations now and I must say I am impressed! I do hope tweaks and optimizations continue, as this is how ALL sms interfaces should be organized/designed.

I guess Nokia's next generation of devices will have this integrated already.

A question for you long-term users of Conversation - does the app lag noticeably when you've got lots of messages/threads in your inbox?

I am having a problem with this also where trying to delete messages/threads freezes the application. It used to work really well in the beginning of the year. Could it be an issue with the updated N95-3 firmware? It worked fine with the Dec2007 firmware update, but not with this year's.

Hi everyone, I carry a nokia n 95 8gb, I live in delhi(INDIA), Let me tell u honestly, I m an absolute new user to such technologies, current firmware that my phone has got is v15.0.015,I clearly see the icon IM in menu-app-media,if it is built in there then what application to dowload from nokia beta labs and why, to use this service what is the server name, web adds, what is user id and password for logging to IM, how, and where to get them from. What is the complete proceedure to first set it up and then how to instant messages and is it possible to make voice chat over my nokia n95 8gb, I'll be as thankfull as I can, I'll never forget ur this help pal if anybody can tell me in a proper, correct and easier way. I m eagerly waiting for ur reply. THANKS BEST REGARDS.

I think in the current state it is only usable as a viewer-only program. Sendig from within it fails 9 out of 10 times. if reports are enabled and you recieve one while the app is open, the report is displayed as an empty recieved message from the person you sent to, and IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DELETE, and even obstructs the uninstallation (switch your inbox from phone to memorycard or vice versa if you want to uninstall and cant, then unistall from app manager)...
PLEASE FIX THOSE BUGS, I LOVE THIS THING!!!
PS i Have Nokia N95 RM-159 Rev 2.01 shipped with FW 21.0.016

Great app! But please do the russian language support!!!!!!!!

Yup, it lags when about 500+ messages are stored in inbox. But only when starting, so I just start it with the phone and leave it working in background. (N95 8Gb) But I do not consider this as a bug :-) The App is workinf flawlessly :-) And I absolutely love it :-)

Phone: N73 Music Edition

First installed the newer version of Internet services pack 1.06 and not the 1.01 given on the downloads page.

Then installed Conversation

It doesnt work - Error: "Menu: Feature not supported (-5)"

Anyone know how this can be fixed?

Regards,
Not_Working_On_My_N73

is only 9.0 - 9.1 and not for fp2 :(

Hi Tommi, thank you very much for answer to my question concerning FP2.

It is a great shame that it does not yet run on this platform!

I have a Nokia 6120 which I have been very happy with, and as a heavy text user, I run the Conversation application the *whole* time - many, many times a day. It is by far the most used app on my phone, and greatly more useful than the inbuilt texting facilities.

I would really like to upgrade to the Nokia 6220 classic for the camera and GPS; however my usage of the Conversation app is so great that I cannot give it up even for the hardware benefits the 6220 brings.

So, essentially, Nokia is losing a sale here because Conversation doesn't run on FP2. To be honest, I'm astonished that it isn't embedded in the OS already.

Alright - enough of a moan. Obviously one sale is entirely insignificant to the company, but I did want to let you know what a great, almost essential app I think Conversation is.

Cheers,
David

????E51??,????????,???????????????????,???????????.???????,???
i'm a e51 user from China,i like the app very much, but when i reply the message,i use the options-reply.if i reply the message immediately, the message i sent came out the garbled character.Hope fix it early.thanks

Oo, Tommi, you're a sneaky bugger :) I do hope that any possible update will fix the lockup issue on the N95-3. Conversation worked so great until this year's firmware update and I hope to see it working again soon.

Folks, When are you going to release this software as part of the package bundling? How about fixing the constant refreshing that happen everytime you invoke this app? Is this app bug-fixed?

i want a conversation for my n78... pls help me...

What about support for international charsets/languages like Japanese? My friend said recepient got ??????????? instead of text message. Please.

Aha! That's where I was going wrong, completely skipped that part, don't know why - thanks very much kennibal! :D

I agree with previous comments. When showing a newly received text message, I'd love for Conversation to open instead of the built in Messaging app.

Pastel: You can prevent the app from refreshing everytime it's invoked by choosing the softkey "Exit" option to exit the app, rather than using the red hangup key. "Exit" leaves the Contacts application running in the background, and under these conditions there's no refresh lag. (Annoying, I know, but it's the only work around I've found).

To the Nokia development team: Please, I implore you guys not to give up on this application. It's the only decent text messaging app available for S60, and is far superior to that provided by S60 firmware. If development really has stopped, then please consider releasing this app as open source so that we can develop it further. Nokia hasn't lost out by using an open-source browser, after all.

I have it installed on my E71 and it works alright.

Nice app! But can you make it a little more flexible on showing the messages by omitting the date and time, and the option to omit the thumbnail picture for every individual, maybe formatting of view as well. And also, the incoming and outgoing symbol is not that conspicuous. Simple arrows with their respective colors might help our quick eyes. Mark it as 'read' if cursor is hovered on the new message, or shifted the highlight away from it.

@Steve: Didn't you installed Nokia Internet Services Support Package before installing Nokia Converastion sis file?

I had this app installed on my n95 and now have it installed on my n95 8gb. I encountered many of the same problems I had on my previous phone. I love this app and generally works fine except for the text message in use message, which I can live with. However, as with my previous phone there came a point when I couldn't even send messages. I didn't realise it was due to conversations but my friend said it was. I installed it on my new phone hoping he was wrong but now it seems he wasn't.

I have been able to send any messages for over a day now as sending keeps failing. So I tried to uninstall the app and it won't let me. I get the same message repeatedly saying file cannot be deleted. I deleted all my messages on my phone, in case this was the reason I couldn't remove the program, and still no joy.

I have no idea what to do next with this. I love this app but I use my text function massively and need it to be reliable. It's really a shame that they still haven't ironed out the bugs on this one.

David: I'll second your comment about FP2 compatibility. Put simply, I will not buy a new Nokia phone until Conversation can run on it -- it is an indispensable application for any serious texter.

Tommi: Is there any chance of knowing if an FP2 release of Conversation is planned for the future?

I'm still lost as to why Nokia dropped the ball on this project -- even with a few bugs, it's one of the most used applications on my phone (and far superior to the built-in Inbox application). Please, Nokia, please continue development of this project!

I'm really hoping there will be some updates for this app in the future. There is a very good foundation here but it desperately needs to be built upon. First thing I'd like to see done is to have Conversations become part of the Messaging app instead of Contacts or at least make it possible to open a text message from the standby screen with a single button press instead of having to close the new message alert then open Contacts. The app cannot handle conversations with a lot of messages (anything >500 is a problem) and it causes problems if you decide to go back to the Messaging app to send a message.

I'm still not allowed to comment on future releases, sorry (I hate it)

The question is, do you feel lucky? :)

@Thomas - This is beta software from Nokia's Beta Labs. Some things become supported products, some just sort of die off. It's sort of their development playground that they let us come into and play :)

How many comments does it take for Nokia to care? It seems that Nokia doesn't listen to customers or watch the competition (eg iPhone, Blackberry Messanger, Palm Treo...). We want this! Please turn this into a fully supported application for Nokia phones!

> How many comments does it take for Nokia to care?

Just one.

Here at Beta Labs, it's not about the number of comments. If we would implement things just based on how many comments want something, things would go wrong quickly. It would be too trivial to game the system by repeating yourself.

In any case, I think you have made your point - I fully understand there is demand for this app.

this is a wonderful application for our s60 devices. i have a Nokia N85 from about 2 weeks and I hope that a new release of this "conversation" will come out soon. thank you nokia!

I only discovered this program today only to find its going nowhere :( NOKIA This is how Text messaging should be on Series 60, i love it! Just look at the comments everybody loves the concept.

Tried installing this app on the N96 just now and unfortunately doesn't seem to want to open :( The internet services support package wouldn't install as it's inbuilt already...so I don't think this program has been adapted fully for FP2 devices yet! Pity, it's a pretty amazing application!

Still having problems sending cyrillic messages from the input field, all messages coming as "????? ?? ?????".

Nokia 6290

Fix it, and I'm a fan :)

Sorry the above should say I HAVE NOT been able to send messages for over a day.

What about support for international charsets/languages like Russian? my recepient got ??????????? instead of text message.

I install it on my n95 (v30)
It's work, but it can't open conversation with 1435 messages =( There are "no memory" window. It asked me to close other aplications, but there are no other apps on background =( And reboot don't help resolve this trouble =((

Would be a shame if this is not going to be updated for future phones, i had an N95 and app worked well.. used it for general messaging. Have now changed to N96 and there is no version of this app for the N96, this would be a great app to keep on all future phones.. please please keep this up to date

Is there any chance to get it work on a 5320 XpressMusic?

I manage to install it, but when I run it, nothing happens, and I don't see the extra tab in Contacts App...

What am I doing wrong? Or is my phone not supported?

COME ON UPDATE FOR FP2 PLEASE!!!!

Ditto comments about FP2! I'm looking to buy a new phone at the moment but amazingly enough compatibility for Conversation is a major factor for me in what phone I choose - it is just that useful :)

I am guessing that it will appear pre-installed in device firmwares at some point in the future, like other Beta Labs applications have (FP3?) but FP2 support is a must for me ;)

Thanks!

Still no update for the N96, whats happening here? Keep your software up to date! ... (please)

I recently replaced my iPhone by an E71 (love this phone). One thing I miss is the sms conversation style that was a default on the iPhone. A friend of mine also switched to an E71. Loved the iPhone, but in the end I really needed a robust and business tool, so I go for an E-series' phone. Me too believe making this Conversation app fully supported (and please, if possible, under "downloads" on the phone itself xD) is a must have... or is it yet?

@Juan - within the past week there was an update to Conversation! I have it working perfectly on my E71 now.

Hi Robert, its just that I really miss the conversation app.. they have took away the lifeblog away on the N96, now there is no conversation view whats so ever on the n96. :(

I'm using N95. I had this problem when I open the contacts, it will jump back to the standby menu. I tried uninstall the Conversation app, the contact can be opened again. Then I followed the instruction, install the latest Nokia Internet Services Support Package into phone memory. Second, go to the "Application manager" to find and uninstall the "Nokia Contacts Service Support Package". Third, install the Phonebook Extension Manager. Finally, install the Conversation application. But the problem happened again.

So I did a backup of the sms and deleted them all, 400+ of them, and the problem went away. Not sure if it will come back later on. But I had more sms last time, before Conversation was installed and everything went well.

Nice app though, keep it up!

I keep coming back daily to see if there is an update :-( oh nos!!!

Why doesnt it work with my n96?

Whats the deal!

I too like the Palm Treo message threading. Conversation seems to be on track with that but with a little way to go to be as easy to use. A couple of improvements might be;
1) Allowing a smaller font - enables the user to see the whole of the previous messages rather than one line.
2) Treating the messages more like an IM conversation when displayed. Shorter form data re who sent it, time etc would make the experience smoother.

Otherwise looks good. Thanks

Thanks Robert!!... saw the update, only want to know another user's experience on same phone with this update :). I'm downloading it right now

Now Can you please Put down the Steps to Remove it tooo? it simply fails to uninstall

I like this application but is not available for nokia 5800 XpressMusic this will be a great app for the S60 v5... hope is on the way

I dont understand, largest

I dont understand, largest mobile phone producer has been out done by small time manufacturers such as Apple and HTC.

This “Conversation” should not be an add-on, this should be the default message client for text, mms. None of that 100 year old setup, Inbox and Sent box, I’m frankly tired of flicking between inbox and sent box looking at what the person said and what I replied.

It should "Aggregate" all message from one person in single threaded conversation.

If apple has implemented this technology, including Googles Android, what the hell is Nokia waiting for.

Nokia has no real new innovation at all, I find the technology repetitive, and same.If you look back, and take close look at some of the features, its nearly the same as nokia 6230i.

they need to replace the messaging client on all phones, and have single threaded text message conversation.
